THE CITY CENTRE @ QUAIL VALLEY OPENS: Off to a great start. Building receiving GREAT reviews. Make plans to stop by and check it out for yourself.
GLENN LAKES PROFESSIONAL BUILDING? Last week the owner was scheduled for court but did not appear. The property has already been “posted”. The code enforcement officer is scheduled to meet a mower there. When you read this, the property should have been mowed. The condition of the building is another issue they continue to address with the owner.
GLENN LAKES BRIDGES. It is my understanding that Public Works is working on a CITY Bridge Maintenance Program. This would cover painting and removal of rust.
E-BOOK & DIGITAL MEDIA: Fort Bend Libraries provide FREE e-books and digital media from four different sources. For details: www.fortbend.lib.tx.us
SURVEILIANCE CAMERAS. Type recommended that give clear pictures: “Digital” NOT a “tape”. 480 pixel a must! DVR recording system. Night vision.
FLASHING YELLOW ARROW TRAFFIC SIGNALS: What to do when you want to turn left and there is a “flashing” yellow arrow?
CAUSING A WRECK? It can happen when entering the intersection while on-coming vehicles are approaching and entering that same intersection. Then the light stops flashing and you are trapped in the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic which has a green light to go.
INSTEAD DO THIS! When you want to turn left on a flashing yellow arrow……DO NOT enter the intersection! Once you are in the intersection you are UNABLE to see if the yellow arrow is STILL “flashing”.
NOTE: New CITY ordinance. Do not allow weeds, grass runners or bushes to grown more than six inches over a curb, street, sidewalk, walkway, driveway or parking area. First-time violators warned by letter. Subsequent violations will be cited to court.
