Impact A Hero, a non-profit organization that provides immediate and ongoing support for our severely-wounded post-9/11 combat veterans and their families have formed a partnership with Deep Down, Inc., an oilfield services company, to support wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Our wounded heroes wear their patriotism 24/7 the rest of their lives through their sacrifices for our country. Our personal challenge is to wear our patriotism daily to support our troops. Impact A Hero is proud to announce that Deep Down has accepted that patriotic challenge to stand in the gap with our heroes,” says Jim Hoelker, Chairman of the Board for Impact A Hero.
Over the last 8 years the Impact A Hero programs have helped more than 4,000 wounded heroes and their families with emotional support and emergency financial aid including arranging flights home so the wounded could see their families. Under the official non-profit entity, Impact Player Partners organization has helped lead the effort to raise over $4,200,000 in donations through the Impact A Hero weekends.
Deep Down will host various fundraising events throughout the next 24 months where 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping our wounded veterans and their families. A sporting clay fall event will kick-off the fundraising and be announced in a few months.
Ron Smith, President and CEO stated “We are pleased to be joining forces with Impact A Hero and look forward to providing as much assistance as we can for these American Heroes. All Deep Down employees are excited about this challenge.”
