Residential burglars busted by patrol officers

March 16, 2011 by FortBendStar

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Monday night, about 10:18 pm, Rosenberg police were called to a home in the 700 block of Blume Road to investigate a residential burglary.

While Officer James Thompson responded to the scene to take a report, Officer Joseph Becerra began scouting the nearby area for suspicious activity. Within minutes of Thompson’s leaving the burglary scene, Becera made a traffic stop on a vehicle on Avenue M occupied by Rosenberg residents Alejandro Arrona, 17, and John Flores, 20.

During the traffic stop items taken from the Blume Road burglary were found in the car occupied by Arrona and Flores.

Both men were arrested and now face first degree felony charges of burglary of a habitation.

A photo of Alejandro Arrona was not available at press time.
