On April 6, a nosy neighbor helped sheriff’s deputies bust a pack of burglars. According to Sheriff’s spokesperson Terriann Carlson, “A witness contacted the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office after observing several suspicious persons jump a backyard fence carrying trash bags.” That same witness reportedly noticed a suspicious vehicle continuously driving around the block, Carlson said. When deputies arrived at the home believed to have been burglarized, the witness was correct. The home in the 6000 block of Kearney Drive had in fact been burglarized.
Detectives worked the case and ultimately arrested four men, three from Richmond, and one from Rosenberg. Carlson said some of the electronics stolen from the home were recovered.
Arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation were Jeremy D. Bryant, 19, of Rosenberg, $20,000 bond, Keith Booker, 19, of Richmond, $40,000 bond, Demarquis D. Faniel, 19, of Richmond, $20,000 bond and Kory T. Aldridge, 19, of Richmond, $20,000 bond.
