Richmond and Rosenberg police are searching for a robbery suspect that may be one in the same.
Wednesday morning, April 20, about 10:40 in the morning, Rosenberg police were called to Botanica San Miguel at 20 Lane Drive to investigate an aggravated robbery. According to Rosenberg police, the victim said a Hispanic male walked into her business, displayed a pistol and demanded the money from the cash drawer. Once the man had the cash from the register, he took cash and property from her purse as well. The suspect fled the store on foot.
Lieutenant Colin Davidson described the suspect as a Spanish speaking Hispanic male about 25 years of age. He is believed to be about 5’5” with a thin build, light mustache, and wearing an orange baseball cap with white stitching.
The following Saturday, April 23, about 10 am, Richmond police were called to the Korner Food Mart, located at 2115 Thompson, to investigate an aggravated robbery. In this incident the suspect entered the store and placed a drink on the counter as though he was going to purchase it.
When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the suspect pulled a pistol and demanded the money from the drawer. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect in this case was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20-25 years of age, wearing a white long-sleeve zip up hoodie. He was also wearing an orange University of Texas baseball cap, black jeans, and black tennis shoes. The hoodie had print on the front on both sides of the zipper. The suspect was also wearing a black t-shirt with print under the hoodie.
Although pictures of the suspect in both incidents appear to resemble one another, police have yet to determine if they are looking for the same suspect in both cases.
