After much anticipation the Richmond Farmer’s Market is finally here!
The grand opening of the market will be held this coming Friday, May 25, starting at 3:30 p.m. near the corner of US 90A and Second Street in Richmond in the parking lot of the old jury assembly building near the Travis Courthouse. When approaching Richmond from the FM359 area one would cross the Brazos River Bridge and either take a left at the first light on the corner of Second Street and US 90A or go straight to the next light at Liberty and take a left. Either way, the venders should be visible.
Richmond spokesman Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast said the Market will feature fresh produce from local growers which includes fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey, eggs and other locally grown products.
The hours of operation are expected to be Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in selling produce, is asked to contact Anne Ondrusek at 281-513-9560 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
