Richmond public information officer Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast said, “Officers from the Richmond Police Department are working a bank robbery case that occurred at 10:00 am today, 12/13/2011, at the IBC Bank located at 5250 FM 1640 in Richmond.”
Neinast said bank employees said the suspect walked into the bank lobby at 10:00 a.m. and went straight to a teller and handed over a note stating that he was robbing the bank. As a result of the note, the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who said “thanks“ then ran from the bank. Neinast said no weapon was displayed.
The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5’ 6” to 5’10”, 150 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a royal blue hoody shirt, a dark neoprene mask covering his mouth, dark colored (blue or black) gloves, and sunglasses. The suspect left the bank and ran to his car that was parked at the nearby Valero convenience store located at 1212 FM 2218. He was last seen leaving the Valero parking lot in a newer model gray or silver Toyota, either a Camry or Corolla, heading west bound on FM 1640.
