Wednesday, April 20, a pharmacist for the Richmond Professional Pharmacy, in the Richmond Professional Building, located at 1601 Main #107, was arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, said Richmond Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast.
Neinast said the arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by undercover officers from the Houston Police Department. Those officers were able to acquire several tablets of Hydrocodone, also known as LorCet or LorTab and several tablets of Alprazolam also known as Xanax from the pharmacist, said Neinast. Those controlled substances were delivered to the undercover officer in unmarked prescription vials in a cardboard box according to authorities.
The pharmacist has been identified as Bright Wokocha, a licensed and registered pharmacist in the State of Texas. Wokocha was arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance; a felony. Officers also seized a large amount of United States currency from Wokocha which will be held pending forfeiture proceedings in Fort Bend County, said Neinast.

See PHARMACIST, page 7 Professional Pharmacy as well as another pharmacy owned Wokocha in Rosenberg at 4601 Avenue H in Rosenberg. The second pharmacy is known as the Adbright Pharmacy. Wokocha also voluntarily surrendered his personal Texas State Board of Pharmacy License number.
Officer from the Houston Police Department were assisted in the investigation by DEA Diversion Investigators and investigators from the Texas State Board of Pharmacies as well as Richmond Police Lieutenant Billy Teague, and Officer Vladimir Golovine.
Wokocha was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail where he was released the next day after posting a $20,000 bond.
