Ridge Point High School (RPHS) will hold a “freshman transition experience” on August 15 at the RPHS campus for the new Class of 2016 students. The “Panther Premier” program will offer incoming freshmen the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the school building and to meet new people.
With the support of Student Council and 100 student mentors, this orientation will allow students to:
• Take their school ID picture
• Receive their schedules and find classrooms
• Receive textbooks
• Receive locker assignment
• Meet current students and peer mentors
• Learn about important issues and tips for “survival” from upperclassmen
• Meet and hear from teachers and administrators
• Learn about various RPHS clubs and activities
• Learn the alma mater, fight song, school traditions, class yell and freshman dance.
The orientation will run from 11:00 am – 4:30 pm, and the registration fee is $20.00 (t-shirt and snack included). For more information, please call RPHS at (281)327-5200.
