Ridgegate Elementary School hosted its first Community Awareness Fair that welcomed more than 20 vendors, who offered families a wealth of information and resources (in both English and Spanish) regarding the services and products they provide within the community. Sponsored by Ridgegate’s Parent Resource Center, school clinic and AMERIGROUP Community Care.
The event also offered participants free dental screenings, emergency preparedness demonstrations, Zumba lessons, games and door prizes.
“The event was a hughe success thanks to all of our community partners and vendors, school administrators, and especially our student and adult volunteers who gave generously of their time, efforts and resources to make this event possible,” said Monica Vallery-Riley, RGE Parent Resource Center Coordinator. “We could not have done it without them.”
Ridgegate Elementary School plans to make the Community Awareness Fair an annual event.
