Texas AgriLife Extension Service and the Family and Consumer Sciences Committee will host their annual Senior Fraud Expo/Information Fair on Friday, February 17. The event will be held at Mamie George Community Center located at 1111 Collins Road, Richmond. The doors will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. at which time exhibitors will be available to share with participants information about their services.
Special speaker presentations will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Virginia Lootens, Elder Law Attorney from Houston presenting “Elder Law Issues – Making Your Own Decisions”; Mary Southwich, Better Business Bureau Education Foundation presenting “Fraudacious! Protect Yourself from Medicare Fraud”; and Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast, Richmond Police Department presenting “Preventing Senior Scams”.
