Fort Bend ISD announces a new national high school ranking that has just been unveiled that include high schools from the school district. It shows seven FBISD schools ranked among the top high schools in the nation. Since 1998, The Washington Post has been ranking public high schools on how well they prepare students for college. For 2011, the national rankings of more than 1,900 public U.S. high schools was unveiled, and a total of 220 Texas high schools made the national list.
The school district said that according to the Post, rankings were determined by dividing the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or other college-level tests a school gave in 2010 by the number of graduating seniors.
The seven Fort Bend ISD schools in the high school national list rankings are listed below. The listing is in accordance with the order of national ranking, said FBISD.
