Shape Up Sugar Land is pleased to announce Jacqueline Baly Chaumette, Sugar Land’s Mayor Pro Tem, will serve as Honorary Chairperson for the Shape up Sugar Land Youth Group.
Since 1994, Jacquie along with her husband David and two sons have called Fort Bend County their home. Having a demanding but rewarding career and raising her family Jacquie understands the importance of balancing work and play as evidenced with both of her boys taking on leadership roles not just in their school, but also on the diamond fields of Sugar Land.
Mayor Pro Tem Chaumette states that it’s an honor and a privilege to assist such a wonderful program. “Their objectives and mission encompass what we want for all youths.”
One of the primary goals of the youth group is to encourage active participation from specific age groups in wellness events to stay fit and healthy not just physically but mentally and spiritually. The youth group has their own section on the Shape up Sugar Land’s interactive website and over the next few weeks the area youth will submit stories, pictures and videos to update the community on their achievements that promote fitness and wellness for the pre-college students of Sugar Land states, Youth Director, Chandra Kovvali.
