Sheriff’s Office makes game room arrest

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation last Thursday where the objective was to ensure compliance with the Fort Bend County regulations for game rooms.

Game rooms that had filed applications for permitting; prior to last October and are currently in the “compliance inspection” phase, were not targeted.

Ten game rooms in the Houston area, Sugar Land area and Richmond area were visited.

Out of the ten game rooms targeted, seven were found to be in operation, netting 11 arrests.

The 11 subjects arrested are charged with Class A Misdemeanors for operating a game room without a permit.

In addition to the Class A Misdemeanors, 3 State Jail Felonies for Possession of a Controlled Substance and 1 Class B Misdemeanor for Failure to I.D. were issued.
