Sienna Branch Library presents intro to social networking

June 1, 2012 by FortBendStar

Are you a stranger to the world of social networking? Get a basic introduction to a variety of social-networking websites at a special program, “So-So Social Networking,” at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sienna Branch Library on Wednesday, June 27, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab of the library, located at 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City.

Social-networking websites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Flickr have different purposes – some are for business networking while others focus on specific activities or interests, such as photo-sharing or blogging. Learn about the unique uses and formats of each of these social-networking websites, as well as how to personalize a profile for a specific website.

The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sienna Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2952, or by visiting the library.
