Sienna Branch Library, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City, will present a variety of free, introductory computer classes this month. The classes will consist of a hands-on introduction to basic skills for people who would like to learn more about using these computer programs.
The class, “Ga Ga for Google Products,” will take place on Tuesday, August 7, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab. Learn about some of the most popular online Google tools used on the Internet.
“Photo Editing 101” will take place on Tuesday, August 14, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab. Learn how to edit photos using free and easy tools from the Internet.
“MS Publisher Survival Basics” for version 2007 will take place on Wednesday, August 15, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab. Learn how to use this computer program to create brochures, cards, calendars, flyers, newsletters, and much more.
“MS Excel Survival Basics” for version 2007 will take place on Saturday, August 18, beginning at 11:00 am, in the Computer Lab.
“MS Excel: Intermediate” for version 2007 will take place on Monday, August 20, beginning at 7:00 pm, in the Computer Lab. Learn more advanced skills to use additional features of MS Excel.
The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sienna Branch,” and find the program.
