Since 2012, First Choice Emergency Room, an Adeptus Health company, has teamed up with Toys for Tots for its annual holiday community toy drive. First Choice Emergency Room, the nation’s largest network of freestanding emergency rooms, will be collecting unwrapped toys for children ages 0-12 now through December 13 at all 62 of its Texas facilities including, the Sienna Plantation location at 8927 Hwy 6, Missouri City.
“The success of the Toys for Tots drive depends on the support from local communities,” said Thomas S. Hall, Chairman and CEO, Adeptus Health. “Thanks to their generosity, we collected approximately 30,000 toys across all of our facilities in 2014 and we’re looking forward to another successful year. We are proud to continue to support this wonderful initiative that brings joy to so many children during the holiday season.”
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program is the largest outreach program in the Department of Defense. The program collects and distributes an average of 16 million toys nationwide and to nearly 7 million children each Christmas.
“We’re thankful for First Choice Emergency Room’s continued support of Toys for Tots,” said Staff Sergeant Robert Navarre, United States Marine Corp and active duty coordinator for the 2015 Toys for Tots Campaign. “We really couldn’t be successful in bringing the hope of Christmas to these children who are truly in need without efforts like these.”
In addition to First Choice Emergency Room facilities serving as drop sites, employees will take part in a day of service at the Toys for Tots distribution center where they will sort and prep gifts for delivery.
First Choice Emergency Room facilities will be clearly marked as Toys for Tots drop sites with large holiday inflatables. Furthermore, the facilities are open 24/7, making it even more convenient for generous shoppers to drop off their unwrapped gifts for deserving children in the community.
