sit’n in a stolen car… never a good idea

August 3, 2011 by FortBendStar

By LeaAnne Klentzman

A Houston woman was parked on the side of a street in a quiet Richmond neighborhood in the early morning hours, with her headlights on…. imagine, she snagged the attention of a passing policeman.

It is no surprise that the officer took note. As he circled back around, he noticed that the headlights went off. Hummm.

Oops, now she had unwanted attention! The officer took note and ran the plates, the car was stolen! Taken in an aggravated robbery in Houston no less!

Talk about unwanted police attention.

While checking on the validity of the stolen vehicle, the 23 year old female was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and weed. Right then, her night went south in a hand-basket!

Now the woman faces a collection of charges ranging from Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, a 2nd Degree Felony, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a State Jail Felony, and Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Just a note to inquiring minds, when sitting in a stolen car with dope, at least turn the lights off before you get police attention!
