The Sugar Land Skeeters have announced that the club will host the 2013 Skeeters Talent Auditions on Saturday, March 9 beginning at 9 a.m. at Constellation Field. All talent, including anthem singers, public address announcers, on-field hosts, comedians, magicians, musicians and other outstanding performers are encouraged to participate in the audition.
“We are excited to bring in new talent for our quickly-approaching Season 2,” said Gabriel Presas, game entertainment and video manager for the Sugar Land Skeeters. “Not only are we trying to fill traditional baseball game positions, such as national anthem singers, but we are also looking for entertainers that will capture the excitement and attention of our fans.”
Those interested in auditioning and performing at a Skeeters game are asked to fill out a contact form online at www.sugarlandskeeters.com/fanzone/community/talent. A Skeeters representative will contact all individuals who apply with an audition time for March 9. Those auditioning for positions as a public address announcer or on-field host will be given times from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. All anthem singers and additional performers are reserved for the afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m.
“We are eager and curious to see what talents Sugar Land and the greater Houston area will bring to Constellation Field this year,” Presas added.
Individuals who aspire to join the Skeeters mascot team can also apply to audition by emailing Skeeters Community Relations and Outreach Manager Taylor McFarland at email@example.com. Mascot auditions begin the week of March 18 and will be conducted at Sugar Land Town Square.
