Scott Livingston pitched six innings of three-hit ball, sending the Skeeters to a 5-1 victory in an early morning game of breakfast and baseball on Thursday.
Sugar Land took three of the four games against Southern Maryland and won for the eleventh time in the last twelve games. The Skeeters increased the best winning percentage in minor league baseball (.850) and have now won seventeen of their first 20 games, with a 17-3 overall record to begin the season.
Koby Clemens and Dustin Martin helped power the Skeeters, as they lead off the sixth and seventh innings with solo homeruns. Dominic Ramos, Josh Pressley and Koby Clemens also added RBI singles for their five runs of offence in the win. The bullpen was spectacular again with a combination of Jay Marshall, Roy Corcoran, Roberto Giron and Gary Majewski, who blanked the Bluecrabs the rest of the way in the victory.
Attendance to the game was 4,155.
The Skeeters Travel to Camden to take on the Riversharks for the first time this season for a four-game set. It starts off with a twi-night double-header. In Game 1 at 11am it will be Skeeteres RHP Sean Gallagher (1-0, 2.40) vs. RHP Brian Bass (1-3, 7.00) for the Riversharks. While in Game 2 at 7pm, Sugar Land will send out RHP Michael Nix (1-0, 1.88) vs. LHP Keith Weiser (1-2, 5.66) for Camden.
