On Sunday the final game of a three-game series against the Bluefish, the Skeeters completed the sweep with a 6-5 victory. Sugar Land was down 1-0 on a Yusuf Carter homerun in the second, but scored three times in the fourth on RBI singles by Ryan Langerhans and Dominic Ramos to take a 3-1 lead. In the seventh, Sugar Land added a pair of runs on three straight doubles by Aaron Bates, Ryan Langerhans and Reid Gorecki to go up 5-1.
After scoring two in the eighth the Skeeters were up 5-1, but Bridgeport answered with four in the bottom of the inning to tie it at 5-5. In the top of the ninth, Jeff Dominguez would come to the rescue though by hitting his fourth homerun of the year to put the Skeeters up 6-5, and hang on to win by that final.
