A Special Crime Alert has been issued by Fort Bend Crime Stoppers after the “Fort Bend Star” broke the story on a residential burglary reported by an alert neighbor.
Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel said, “Fort Bend County Crimes Stoppers, Inc. will pay a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of four subjects who burglarized a home in the Kingsbridge Place subdivision.”
That burglary occurred on Monday, November 18, shortly after 1p.m. Deputies responded to the call in the 14800 block of Highland Way Lane, near Bissonnet and Highway 6 after a neighbor reported seeing a man kick the front door of a nearby home. Once inside, the heavy footed burglar and two others were seen running from the home with purloined property. They trio fled the scene in a gray or silver Toyota 4Runner that was waiting with a getaway driver.
According to Haenel, the thieves got away with a laptop and some jewelry from this scene.
Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspects involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
