In this week’s special Crime Alert Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, Inc. will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in a September 12, Kingsbridge Place aggravated robbery.
Sheriff’s spokesman, Bob Haenel, said on Monday morning September 12, at about 12:30 a.m., deputy sheriffs responded to a home invasion robbery in the 9600 block of Weldridge Drive located in the Kingsbridge Place subdivision just north of the city of Sugar Land.
Haenel said when the deputies arrived on the scene they discovered four victims inside the home bound with restraints. He said, “One male victim had been assaulted and was treated for a head injury by first responders from Northeast Fire Department and the Fort Bend County EMS.”
Haenel went on to explain that the victims told the deputies that four Spanish speaking men entered their home and held them at gunpoint. Aside from the four adult victims Haenel said there were also two children in the home at the time of the incident; they were not harmed.
The suspects were all dressed in black pants, shirts, gloves and ski masks. However, one victim told deputies that one of the suspects, although dark-skinned, did speak English. Haenel said, “Some of the (suspect’s) t-shirts had NARCOTICS on the back.”
The intruders ransacked the home and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash said Haenel.
Any information that leads to the apprehension and or conviction of these suspects could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
