The Richmond police were called to investigate a stabbing Wednesday evening about 6:35. According to Richmond police spokesman Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast a neighbor heard an argument just outside his home. He told police when he got outside he saw Dexter Brown, 25, leaving the area and Roy Anthony, 50, laying on the ground with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds.
The man immediately called 911 and reported the incident, said Neinast. Anthony was air lifted to a Houston hospital in guarded condition, Neinast said.
Police began their investigation photographing the scene, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses when they were notified that a man was in the lobby of the police department asking to talk with an officer.
According to Neinast, Dexter Brown had walked into the lobby of the police department and asked the dispatcher if the police were looking from him. An officer responded and detained Brown. Neinast said, “After the investigation was complete, Brown was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury, both 2nd Degree Felonies.”
At press time there was no follow up information available on stabbing victim Roy Anthony and Dexter Brown was still in jail with a $65,000 bond.
