BRONSTEIN


Fred Bronstein passed away on Thursday, April 18. He was born on January 3, 1925 in the Bronx New York. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis and son Richard. He is survived by his daughter Laurie Hohos, her husband Bob, grandson Michael, and long time companion of six years, Gloria Pomeroy. He graduated from the City College of New York and worked as an electrical engineer. Throughout his working years he also taught at Adelhi University, Morris County College and Stephens Institute of Technology.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army in the Phillipines. He was an active member of Congregation Beth El, and the AARP 4075.

He had a great love of opera, classical music, literature,traveling, languages, history and different cultures.

We would like to thank the extraordinary doctors and nurses in ICU E of Memorial Herman Hospital Southwest who provided Fred and his family with the utmost care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Congregation Beth El or your preferred charity.
