Josh Danziger, a graduate of Lamar Consolidated High School, and his co-star Olesya Rulin, visited with senior fine arts students at Terry High School Tuesday morning, encouraging them to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams.
Danziger’s dream led to Hollywood and a starring role in “APART,” a movie filmed largely in Richmond and Rosenberg. He also helped write the script of the romantic thriller.
The two actors visited all four Lamar CISD high schools on Monday and Tuesday.
Rulin told the students she loved the area. She said she stopped to have her photo taken near some cows and that she loves that she can breathe so well in the clean Fort Bend County air.
Danziger, who was asked to Terry’s prom while posing for photos, revealed that he enrolled at Foster High School for a week prior to filming, trying to get the feel of being a high school student again.
The movie opens March 9 in Houston and New York. All proceeds from the Houston showings on March 9 and March 10 will go to support the fine arts programs of Lamar CISD. The movie will show at the Sundance Cinemas in Houston.
