Ok, so we have little to go on and a lot to ponder on…
In the wee hours of a morning last week a voice could be heard across police radios asking for a patrol car to stop by the fence/gate surrounding the entry to the Fort Bend County Jail. Not that, that request wasn’t strange enough, it was followed by a comment of … has anyone had a prisoner escape that was partially handcuffed?
Imagine this – the radio went silent and no one fessed up to losing a prisoner. Oh, there was plenty of trash talk, but no confirmations. Then the officer doing the asking came back across the radio and said he had a man on the other side of the fence with one handcuff on. .. Followed shortly thereafter with a request for a medic unit to check by for a laceration.
Now, there were a whole bunch of cops out working in Fort Bend County and all its cities that night and NO ONE knows what happened. But we can tell you – they spent hours searching for the one-cuffed man – after he ran off.
Just in case you don’t know, running off with an officer’s handcuffs is a felony, and shows lack of couth.
See, strange things happen after the sun goes down.
