Sugar Land Christmas Tree Lighting is tonight!

During the City’s 9th annual Christmas Tree Lighting event, Santa’s grand entrance will include the unveiling of the mascot for Sugar Land’s minor league baseball team, the Sugar Land Skeeters, at 7:30 p.m.

The tree lighting event will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5-8 p.m., City of Sugar Land Town Square, 15958 City Walk

Close to 15,000 attendees are expected to fill Sugar Land Town Square for the 9th annual Christmas Tree Lighting event.

Admission and activities are free.

Free pictures with Santa from 5‐7 p.m. (sponsored by Corporate Cadillac)

5 p.m.   BalletForte

5:30 p.m.   Girl Scouts Troop 29130 and 29114

5:45 p.m.   EPIC Dance Center

6 p.m.   Commonwealth Elementary School Fifth-Grade Cougar Chorus

6:10 p.m.   Jr. Sugar Land Superstar Lexi Stavinoha

6:20 p.m.   Sugar Land Baptist Church

6:40 p.m.   Sugar Land Superstar Erica Marks

7 p.m.      Sugar Creek Baptist Church

7:20 p.m.      Stephen F. Austin High School Drumline

7:30 p.m.      Mayor James Thompson, Santa’s Grand Entrance, Tree Lighting

Walk-around entertainment (throughout the entire event) will include Snowman, Mrs. Snowman, juggling elves, a stilt walking elf and an elf karaoke side stage.
