Sugar Land Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics provided more than $10,000 in donated dentistry to nine retired U.S. military veterans on May 28.

Sugar Land Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics also raised $1,100 for Pinups for Patriots by offering 10 percent off dentistry to patients with a donation of $10.

Sugar Land Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics teamed up with Pinups for Patriots to identify and assist individuals that were in need of basic dental care.

Pinups for Patriots is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and supporting our nations’ military and their families. The 1940s-inspired women’s group honors our nation’s bravest by creating unique programs and events to raise awareness for post-traumatic stress disorder while simultaneously encouraging patriotism.

“Giving back to our community is something that we are very passionate about,” said Dr. Jacob Dent, of the Sugar Land Dental Group. “We are committed to bringing smiles to the faces of our patients and the members of our community. The entire staff is excited to serve those who served for our country – any way we can help brighten someone’s day makes our jobs that much more worthwhile.”

Patients received everything ranging from cleanings, exams, and digital x-rays to extractions and restorations.
