Sugar Land Garden Club recently celebrated Arbor Day by planting two trees at the Pawn Springs Dog Park, a part of Sugar Land Memorial Park. The club selected a cedar elm and a Mexican white oak because both are well suited for the Gulf Coast area. The celebration was attended by garden club members with several visitors from city management. Visitors included Joe Chesser, Asst. Park and Recreation Director; Kimberly Terrell, Park Development Manager; Phil Martin, Park Supervisor; and Vicki Gist from Keep Sugar Land Beautiful.
