Showcasing new ideas and products
Learn how to transform your house into a dream home with the latest products and fresh ideas at the third annual Sugar Land Home and Garden Show.
The two-day event will be held Saturday, January 26, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday January 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Stafford Centre, 10505 Cash Road in Stafford.
With two seminar stages and 200 exhibitors, there will be new products and innovative ideas for every indoor and outdoor space — from the kitchen and bathroom to the backyard and home spa. There will also be more than a dozen experts on hand to share the latest interior design trends, home organizing tips and the most current energy-saving ideas.
The show will feature well-known speakers such as Brenda Beust Smith, “The Lazy Gardener” and Houston Chronicle columnist, green-build pioneer LaVerne Williams, AIA, LEED AP, and more.
Sugar Land resident Michael Garfield, “The High-Tech Texan,” and Randy Lemmon, host of KTRH 740’s GardenLine show, will offer advice to guests while broadcasting their popular radio programs live from the Sugar Land Home and Garden Show.
Brandon Lynch, founder of Keechi Creek Builders, will be speaking at the event. Lynch helps homeowners prepare today so they can “age in place” comfortably and safely in the future.
As a Certified Professional Organizer, Sugar Land resident Giesler will provide ideas on how to reduce stress by bringing order and efficiency to your home, office and life.
Catherine Falgoust, a certified color consultant, will share tips on creating interior spaces that reflect her clients’ personalities. After many years of decorating and redesigning spaces for friends and family, Falgoust began Expressions Interiors – Decorating, Redesign and Staging.
She believes color is the foundation for a great space and will share her tips on how to find just the right shade.
“This remarkable line-up of experts will make this year’s Sugar Land Home and Garden show truly unique,” said Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows, Inc. and producer of the show, explained that the Stafford Centre will become a one-stop shopping destination for homeowners who want to improve or remodel their homes and outdoor living areas.
For the latest ideas in the kitchen, Wood suggests stopping by the Whirlpool Cooking Stage.
Culinary instructor Heather Evans will be serving up samples of spicy cheddar and jalapeno sliders, crispy baked ravioli and sweet and spicy meatballs.
While learning to make quick and easy kitchen creations, guests will also discover the latest tools of the trade.
