Freedom isn’t free although we often take it for granted. Congressman Pete Olson, who served in the Navy for nine years, will speak about the significance of religious freedom in America on Sunday, July 1, at Sugar Land Methodist Church.
Sugar Land Methodist’s Senior Pastor, Martin Nicholas says, “Today, the exercise of religious freedom is more critical than ever. It is our honor to have Congressman Pete Olson speak on this subject to our congregation and the community at our Patriotic Service.”
In addition to Pete’s inspirational message, the music planned for the morning celebrates our legacy of liberty and the foundations of our faith. Worship Director, Dr. Craig Gilbert has planned for his Sanctuary Choir to perform a thoughtful, a choral collection from the pen of Joseph M. Martin entitled Of Faith And Freedom. This service is certain to be a memorable celebration of our religious freedom. It will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday, July 1st. Sugar Land Methodist is located at 431 Eldridge Road.
Although the church’s usual Sunday schedule includes two services (9:00 am and 11:15 am), there will only be one service on July 1st, beginning at 10:00 am. To learn more about the church, call 281.491.6041, or visit sugarlandmethodist.org. To learn more about Pete Olson, visit olson.house.gov.
