The second round of Sugar Land Superstar – Sugar Land’s American Idol-like competition – will take place on Saturday, July 13 from 7-9:30 p.m. in the Plaza of Sugar Land Town Square. A previously selected group of talented singers ages 14 and up will perform live in the Plaza, and ultimately, five will be named finalists by a group of local, celebrity judges. Savannah Schackett, former junior superstar contestant, will kick off the evening with a concert at 7 p.m.
The five finalists named at the event will join the previously selected finalists to compete for the title of Sugar Land Superstar at the finale on Saturday, Aug. 10. The 2013 Sugar Land Superstar will win a prize package from Sugar Land Town Square restaurants and retailers, and the opportunity to perform at future Town Square events.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the Plaza.
