Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their elves are bringing their holiday magic to Sugar Land Town Square for the 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5-8 p.m.
Main stage performances starting at 5 p.m. on the steps of City Hall will include a variety of acts from individuals to school groups, dancers and theatrical acts.
In between performances, stroll with family and friends down City Walk Drive, and check out all the activity booths from local retailers and vendors.
Climb inside a life-size snow globe and take a picture in a wintery wonderland. New this year is a Holiday Flipbook station where visitors can create their own action-themed memory books.
There will also be games, karaoke and a chance to take pictures with Santa Claus! Printed photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus are being provided by Catch the Moment Photography.
Drinks, meals and treats may be purchased from a variety of on-site food vendors.
Also be sure to visit the KBRZ sports radio booth, this year’s media partner, to record a message for friends and family to be played during the holiday season.
Finally, gather with family and friends around the City’s spectacular 40 foot Christmas tree in Town Square to help Santa and Mrs. Claus welcome in the holiday season with the annual lighting of the tree.
The event is free and open to the public. A free shuttle service will run from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., to Sugar Land Town Square from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Parking will also be available in the Texas and Lone Star Garages located in Town Square.
