Sullivan Elementary School hosted its first Summer Playdate on June 16 to welcome students who will attend the new school in the fall. Hosted by the school’s PTA at the Club at Riverstone Park, the event welcomed nearly 500 members of the school’s Dalmatian family who had an opportunity to enjoy a fun day at the park while meeting Principal Donna Whisonant and other members of the administrative team, faculty and staff members, as well as “Patches,” the school’s mascot.
“It was great to see so many of our students with their families at our first meet-and-greet playdate,” said Whisonant. “We enjoyed good conversation, laughter and fun, and were excited to see our mascot, Patches, arrive on a fire truck. That was one of the highlights of the evening.”
Sullivan’s next playdate, which will also be held at the Club at Riverstone Park, will take place on July 14 from 4-6 p.m. All members of Sullivan Elementary’s Dalmatian family are invited to attend.
