Fort Bend County Libraries’ First Colony Branch Library, 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and School-Age Programs — every month. These programs are free and open to the public.
Mother Goose Time, which takes place on every Tuesday at 11:00 am, provides caregiver/infant activities and songs especially designed for the youngest book-lovers, from age 1 month to 12 months. Program dates are: June 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Toddler Time, which meets every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:15 am, offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are: June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28.
Story Time, which meets every Wednesday at 11:15 am, provides stories, movies, and age-appropriate craft activities for pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age. Program dates are: June 6, 13, 20, and 27.
A special fairy-tale Story Time for families, “An Enchanted Hour of Songs and Tales,” will take place on Saturday, June 30, beginning at 2:30 pm, in the Meeting Room. Enjoy songs, fairy tales and puppets! Children may come dressed as their favorite fairy-tale character.
Pajama Night Story Time—which takes place every Monday in June and July at 6:30 pm—gives families an evening option for some activities otherwise presented during the daytime. Program dates are: June 4, 11, 18, and 25.
The School-Age Programs — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades ONLY — take place on Tuesdays, beginning at 2:00 and
3:00 pm. Seating is extremely limited. A free hand stamp, which is required for admission, will be available one hour before the program. The June schedule is as follows:

June 19 – “Ari Rang: Discover Korea” Dance Performance
June 26 – Champion Labrador Dogs
The Teen Programs, which take place every Thursday this summer beginning at
3:00 pm, are designed for youth in 6th grade and up. The June schedule is as follows:
