Public Information Officer Lieutenant Colin Davidson announced the details on the arrest of Jerry Suniga. According to Davidson, Sungia, 45, of Richmond, entered the BEMS gas station and convenience store in the 4000 block of Avenue I about 9:45 on a Saturday evening December 3. Davidson said the case was assigned to Detective Jonathan White who immediately began to develop leads with the assistance of his Lieutenant Tracie Dunn. Through their efforts, Jerry Sungia was identified as the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The following Saturday, Sungia was arrested and taken into custody on Random Dyer Road in west Fort Bend County. He is currently in the Fort Bend County Jail.
The arrest of his getaway accomplice is expected soon.
