It is time once again to mark your calendars for Monday, October 24, for the annual Duck Golf Classic hosted by the Exchange Club of Fort Bend County, which will be held at Pecan Grove Plantation, Richmond.
“We believe in working hard and having fun doing it, and this golf tournament is the fun part,” said Candace Jo Cagle, Duck Golf Classic chair and Richmond resident.
The Exchange Club of Fort Bend not only enjoys lunch together every Wednesday at Sweetwater Country Club, they also work tirelessly to impact the lives of those in Fort Bend County in a positive way, instilling their core values of Family, God and Country.
“We have raised thousands and thousands of dollars for area non-profits such as the Women’s Center, Impact a Hero, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels, and The Rainbow Room, and Champion’s Kid Camp. We also work with non-profits who work to prevent child abuse. Plus, we provide local scholarships for high school students and help to educate people on shaken baby syndrome. This golf tournament helps to provide funds to assist all of these programs,” Cagle said.
The Exchange Club of Fort Bend’s committee met last week to kick-off the planning of the Duck Classic, and from the first few minutes they knew this was going to be an awesome event, with many new items and services added, according to Cagle.
