River Pointe Church will celebrate the grand opening of their Missouri City campus at Elkins High School, 7007 Knights Court, on Sunday, February 26th, making River Pointe Church the first church in Fort Bend County to provide an additional church site by partnering the latest state of the art video technology with on-site musical talent and neighborhood relationships. Service times are Sundays at 9:30 and 11:15 with child care and children’s classes offered at all services. Dulles High School graduates, Sheree Howard, Chad Strader and Anthony Curtis lead the worship and bring some of the greatest musical talents in the Houston area together every Sunday.
Fort Bend County rapidly grows, places of worship are exceeding capacity and searching for alternative ways to provide services to the community. River Pointe Church in Richmond, Texas felt the pinch of overflow services and added Saturday services and multiple service times for those services where an over flow capacity was expected. However, the alternative service times did not address the need for an additional location in Missouri City where residents were eager to have a neighborhood church that meets their spiritual and family needs. Senior Pastor of River Pointe Church, Patrick Kelley visited churches across the state and country to observe how to add church sites with video technology yet still provide a place where relationships could grow and mature.
“River Pointe Church is committed to meeting people where they are spiritually and offering biblical truth in an encouraging, caring environment. The response to the Missouri City campus has been awesome – residents of Missouri City have loved the format, location and opportunity to take their families to church with their neighbors,” said Pastor Kelley.
Upcoming events at both the Richmond and Missouri City campus are Rodeo Sunday on March 4 complete with petting zoo, and Country Music concert and Easter Sunday with special music and children’s activities.
