Students in Texas will have the chance to learn more and to learn with greater proficiency now that the Texas Science Adoption has passed. Every school in the state will be receiving new science teaching tools and each school has the opportunity to bring in one of the most cutting-edge education systems available today.
A fully interactive, digital program, Adaptive Curriculum is one of the several approved supplements school districts can elect to bring into their schools, and it has already helped raise test scores in Texas schools that began using the program before the Adoption was passed. A facet of a new trend called blending learning that uses web-based learning systems, Adaptive Curriculum can be used by teachers as a way to teach science that is tailored to our digital world and how kids learn today. The program uses interactive 3D models that kids can manipulate and click on to learn more about the parts of a cell, DNA, the body, etc., as well as games and interactive quizzes to test comprehension at the end of a lesson. The program can even show a child the correct explanation to a question if he/she gets it wrong.
Each lesson is also available in Spanish allowing ELL students to keep up with their schoolwork while learning English.
