Lice Treatment Center of Fort Bend opened its doors to business owners, elected officials and community members as the Central Fort Bend Chamber celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 3.

Located at 301 South 9th Street, Suite 222A in Richmond, Lice Treatment Center Fort Bend serves all of Fort Bend County as a locally owned business providing professional help to families struggling with head lice.

Michelle Boehme was a medical assistant for 13 years before she decided to open her own business and believes she can help the community through her services.

“It’s an amazing feeling and very humbling because people look to you for help and for your service.

I think the normal, everyday person that goes into work doesn’t get the same appreciation as a business owner does. But owning a business has its challenges,” Boehme said.

She said there is a growing need in the community for locations like the Lice Treatment of Fort Bend, and hopes her partnership with community organizations as well as the local school districts will bring more awareness to professional treatment options.

Boehme also offers education opportunities and classes to combat the spread of lice and to help families in our community.
