On October 30 the First Colony Middle School PALS and Cheerleaders organized a THINK PINK day to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. The Bobcats held a door decorating contest, a Powder Puff Football game, and collected donations from students and faculty that wore jeans in conjuncture with Lee National Denim Day.
FCMS also participated in the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Campaign, a program that makes wigs for cancer patients going through chemotherapy. The groups also held a contest that would allow a lucky student to cut a participating faculty member’s hair. All together First Colony Middle School had a total of nine students and five faculty members cut their hair for the Beautiful Lengths Campaign.
The First Colony Bobcats were able to raise $1,200 that was donated to cancer research. Thanks to everyone at First Colony Middle School, we couldn’t have done it without you!
