Just a couple of weeks ago we told you about Lucas New Holy getting convicted for beating a man with a baseball bat in Porcupine, South Dakota. Well, seems the Federal prosecutors stay r-e-e-eal busy up there because, it has happened again, this time in Porcupine, North Dakota – whoda’ thunk it?
According to the FBI, US Attorney in Bismarck has announced that Elmer Flying Horse, 25, has entered a guilty plea for his assault on another man in Porcupine.
The story goes that Flying Horse and friends were celebrating his birthday in Porcupine. At some point during the festivities Flying Horse picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed a fellow partier three times, twice in the body and once in the head. (A kitchen knife to the head?) According to the Federal prosecutor, “The victim required medical treatment for a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain and a punctured lung.”
Flying Horse is scheduled to be sentenced on September 12 in Standing Rock, for this attack on the Porcupine man. The charge of assault with a dangerous weapon carries a statutory maximum penalty of 10 years in a federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
Wow, this gives a whole new perspective on the prickliness of Porcupines.
