Toys for Tots Fort Bend and Santa’s Exchange have rallied together for Fort Bend County’s largest toy donation program expecting to serve more than 8,000 children of economically disadvantaged families this holiday season. Recruiting is under way for toy drop-off locations and volunteers for the 10th annual local campaign.
County Commissions have proclaimed December 7 as Toys for Tots Fort Bend County Day to mark a dedicated day for awareness and toy collections throughout the area.
“We are so proud of how our community comes together for this annual event that brings joy to so many children,” said Jack Molho, coordinator for Toys for Tots Fort Bend. “Since 1947, Toys for Tots and the United States Marine Corps have been providing toys for our most needy children. Combined with the good work of Santa’s Exchange, and the support of local businesses and the community, we are working to make this the best year ever.”
Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be made at locations throughout the county including all Sugar Land Fire Department Stations, First Colony Mall, Costco, Legacy Ford, St. Michael’s Emergency Rooms, Fort Bend ISD, Lamar CISD and many other participating area businesses.
