In order to properly retrieve the evidence of this heinous crime, the deputy had to dumpster dive – YUCK! . To add insult to injury, she got stuck. Stop Laughing!
Eventually she was able to extricate herself but, in the process, she injured her arm. She has been either off or on light duty since the end of June.
The evidence she went dumpster diving for? … her boss’s political signs. Yep, you read that right, she was sent to retrieve Brady for Sheriff political signs out of a dumpster when she was injured. So now, the taxpayers of Fort Bend County are on the hook for a worker’s comp injury sustained by a deputy sheriff who went dumpster diving to retrieve the chief deputy sheriff’s political signs that the State of Texas says are illegal in the first place.
Quick! Sign up for the pool on just who’s fingerprints were found on those signs when they were “processed” as evidence. And just a note to the wise, if you have a sign up…don’t take it down. Because what we’re being told, chief deputy, as he calls himself, will drop in at your place, in his county car, and chastise you.
See, truth really is stranger than fiction…
Folks, we can’t make this stuff up!
