Construction recently began on the extension of University Boulevard from State Highway 6 near Sam’s Club to U.S. Highway 90A. Completion is expected during the summer of 2014. The $5 million project is intended to improve mobility by providing a north-south corridor connecting State Highway 6 at the Riverstone Subdivision to U.S. Highway 90A. University Boulevard North is one of several projects included in the Fort Bend County Mobility Bond Program and the Transportation Improvement Program. The project is jointly funded by the Texas Department of Transportation, Fort Bend County and the city of Sugar Land.
