The dates have been set for the 2012 Fort Bend County Women’s Gin Tournament. This will be the 35th anniversary of the yearly tournament, which is a charity event. According to tourney chairman, Sandra Croft, proceeds this year will benefit the VFW and VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary Cancer Aid and Research Program. The tournament is slated for the weekend of Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19, and will be held at VFW Post 3903 on 1st Street in Rosenberg. Entry fee for the tournament is $40, which includes a meal on Friday night, and lunch on Saturday. Play will begin on Friday evening promptly at 6:30 p.m., and will end by midnight. On Saturday, play begins at 10:00 a.m. and games must be finished by 4:30 p.m.
