The Youth Services staff at Fort Bend County Libraries’ University Branch Library invites families to attend a “Youth Program Sampler” on Saturday, February 4, from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm. Learn more about the various youth programs that the library presents each month for children of all ages.
Multicultural stories and activities will be presented in locations throughout the Youth Services department. A puppet show and Story Time will take place in the Large Meeting Room starting at 12:15, 1:00, and 1:45 pm. Children may participate in a variety of craft activities in the Small Meeting Room during the course of the event.
Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) teen volunteers will be collecting gently-used books to be donated to the Friends of the Library organization for the book sales they hold during the year.
Proceeds from the Friends’ book sales and annual membership dues help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at the University Branch Library. All contributions are tax-deductible.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-633-5100 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
