Fort Bend County Judge KP George’s office said Wednesday afternoon that he has tested positive for COVID-19
George, who says he is fully vaccinated and has gotten a booster shot, said his daughter began showing symptoms after coming home for the Christmas holidays, and his own subsequent test came back positive.
He has not shown or experienced any symptoms, he said, but is currently at home in isolation according to a statement from his office.
“At this time, I am in constant communication with my staff and county officials to ensure that all county operations are continuing as normal,” he said. “I encourage our Fort Bend County residents who are eligible to get vaccinated, and for those who meet the requirements to take the booster because it is absolutely our best defense against this virus.”
