Mo City person of interest

Houston police say they are seeking a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a man who was found inside a home in the Harris County portion of Missouri City earlier this week.

The Harris County medical examiner is in the process of identifying the victim, who was a 20-year-old man, according to the Houston Police Department.

The person of interest, 41-year-old Vannoy Jimenez, is not currently a suspect, HPD said. Jimenez has not been charged with a crime, according to police, though HPD said he may have direct knowledge of what happened and is asking for him to come forward.

HPD said officers were escorting a recent kidnapping victim to a home at 16502 Quail Prairie Dr. just before 2 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arriving at the home, HPD said there was a tarp on the floor, which was opened to reveal a man dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

Anyone with information about the incident or Jimenez’s potential whereabouts is encouraged to contact HPD’s Homicide division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
